WA Building Approvals Still Running Strongly - HIA
According to ABS data released today. Detached house approvals increased by 2.8 per cent in the month of March to be up by 4.7 per cent over the quarter.
"The key is to ensure an environment where these approvals can be converted into dwelling starts and then completions, giving WA the double positive of increased housing supply and a crucial broader economic dividend as mining investment wanes," concluded John Gelavis. "That outcome will require policy focus on the removal of supply blockages, such as that inhibiting the availability of titled land."
